LARGE GRANITEWARE PRESERVE POT
TWO  HANDLES
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
- Older mottled gray graniteware large pot previously used when making jams and jellies
- No manufacturer marks; probably pre-1950. Gray graniteware was very popular from the 1920’s on
- Most likely did not have a lid as it was necessary for water content to steam away from your preserves
- Sports two handles: the bailed wooden handle for carrying and an attached handle to help steady
the very hot pan when pouring
- Could also use attached applied handle to hang from a hook
- Approximate measurements: 8 inches high; top diameter 15-1/2 inches; over 3.25 pounds
- Very used condition: rust, dings, enamel loss etc. etc. PLUS a few pinholes
- Many flaws; unusual hefty pot might still be an interesting addition to your graniteware collection
- View and pick-up in Naperville, Illinois
$ 19.00 / Each
